那么,如果留下痕迹的客体其实根本“不存在”呢?论文引用的权威词条可以是作者伪造的,流传了几个世纪的岛屿其实只存在于错误的地图里,惊人的幻境只是源自致幻蘑菇的误食,就连我们生活的世界也可能是由超级电脑模拟而成。当然,它们中的一些已经被真实的世界证伪而被消灭,有些还因无法被分辨而被保留,甚至也可能继续以“真实”的面貌生存在这个世界里。但无论如何,痕迹早已留下,并作用到了人和物的身上,对这个世界施加了一定的形变。只是随着时间的流逝,真实与虚假杂糅在一起、不断重叠。我们有一天也终将无法再分辨那些印迹,直到被忘记,直到成为我们的一部分。
