How to speak a common language? The term "Tower of Babel" seems to have long since become a symbol that needs no further explanation. It is a community where everyone can reside, an ideal vision in which there are no barriers between humans. I attempt to build a "Tower of Babel" in Chinese (巴别塔) using the classic Latin font Futura as the material. In this construction, you can glimpse individual letters, yet still perceive the Chinese structure as a whole. You are in me, and I am in you. Though we cannot speak the same language, we can still become each other’s bones and flesh—this has become my current definition of the "Tower of Babel."
如何诉说共同的语言？“巴别塔”一词似乎早已成为我们毋需多言的象征。它是可供所有人居住的公共社区，也是人类之间不再有隔阂的理想诉求。我试图将futura这款经典拉丁字体作为材料建造出中文的“巴别塔”，从中你可以窥见单独的字母，但却不妨碍建筑的整体性。你中有我，我中有你，虽无法说同一种语言，但却可以成为对方的筋骨和血肉，这或许已经是现在的我对于“巴别塔”的定义。
