我在球身上分别雕刻了两种内容,分别是汉代的七夕画像石和旧藏天象列次分野之图。古人关于牛郎星和织女星的向往,甚至说是对宇宙的好奇,一直以来都无法与观测和想象分离。这两种内容,其实就是这两者的体现。而为什么选用球体,是来自于我的一个小小想象:如果说宇宙于现今的我们而言无法完全理解,那是否也意味着它可以发生任何我们无法预想的事情。就像一张纸,它的两个端点相隔最远,但只要将这张纸弯折,这两个端点就会相交。宇宙会不会在某一处发生交叠?而球体似乎是最好的体现:我将画像石,分野图分别雕刻在上下两个半球上。当半球体被放置在纸面上时,形成的蓝晒图像依旧是个圆形,它看似圆满,但事实上却缺少了另一半。只有当两个半球体合二为一时才会显示出完整的文字/图像,此时他们才是真正的“相会”。
