至于我学习的内容，则始于上一个作品「Decipher」中“用一种语言去破译另一种语言”的概念延续，这一次，我让英文成为了建造中文的材料：我将三种经典英文字体Futura, Times New Roman, Helvetica作为我的实验工具，在一个有限的空间里修修补补，使之交织着塑造出汉字这种非线性文字。在这个过程里，英文字体本身的特色和构造被保留下来，这样，它们修建的每一个汉字都「成为」甚至是「超越」了它们本身风格的独特建筑，无一不美丽的让我惊叹。而就如同站在巨人肩膀上一样，这种美丽不是因为我拥有对汉字洞若观火的理解抑或是炉火纯青的运用，相反，我在这方面依旧懵懂，几乎把它们当作一个没见过的玩具一样摸索。但或许就是因为如此，我才感到自己在用完全属于自己的方式学习字体。这是很“我”的学习方法：「绝不凭空造物，将已存在之物作为工具去理解另一个司空见惯之物，在具体的实验里领会和体悟。」如果时常改变实验方法或实验对象，那一定还会伴随着意外的惊喜。把英文字体套用在中文的字形和笔画里，在中文中理解英文字体，用英文字体学习中文。故此，就是我关于非线性字体的学习了。
